Space Frame Project at Homs Expo, Consequent Works

Space Frames

Description:
Space frames are three dimensional hyper-static steel structures’ systems. Space Frames are consisted of bars, nodes, bolts & nuts, sleeves and purlins. Space Frames are analyzed according to the Matrix-Displacement Method. In the course of this analysis, the loads are applied to the nodes only. Unless requested by the client, the bars are calculated to respond to the axial loads.

Specifications:
1. Bars: In accordance with TSE301 series and DIN2440; high welding capability, appropriate DIN17100; according to the requirements of the project; pipes elements are manufactured from St-33 or St-52 or stainless steel. Diameter: 48.3-219.1mm. Thickness: 2.25-12mm.
2. Nodes: Manufactured from C1040 steel material with hot-forging method in spherical forms. As a standard, every node contains 8 holes; up to 18 holes could be open optionally for service loads (suspended ceiling, HVAC ducts and/ or, illumination elements) and purlins. Diameter: 60-400mm.
3. Bolts and Nuts: TSE certificated, according to the requirements of design values, 8.8 or 10.9 quality, in various dimensions and comply with DIN13, DIN267 and DIN7990 norms.
4. Electrical Galvanization: If any, 20-25 Micron.
5. Hot Dip Galvanization: If any, 15-20 Micron.
6. Powder Coating: According to our color key, 60-80 Micron.

Application:
1. Space frames are the only solution for large apertures and spans up to 70m.
2. Roofs of halls, malls, exhibitions, fairgrounds, theaters, cinemas, courts, playgrounds and swimming pools.
3. Canopies of stadiums, schools, gas stations, cars’ parking and entrances of buildings, villas and gardens.
4. Hand gars, production halls and planes maintenance hand gars.
