How To Repair Aluminum Air Conditioning Tubing

We punctured an air conditioning line to demonstrate how fast and easy https://MuggyWeld.com Super Alloy 5 can repair aluminum tubing with a propane torch and a trigger torch tip.

This aluminum tubing has has many years worth of contaminates and we made the repair to show how well Super Alloy 5 flux cleans the parent aluminum. *We do advise cleaning the aluminum before soldering or brazing as you will use less flux.

If you are working on tubing larger than 3/4 inch, oxyacetylene is required due to the mass of aluminum and heat dissipation.

Always keep your heat moving to prevent burn through. The rod will not drip down inside the tubing when correctly preheated.
