CAD Quick Trip: Dimension for Timing Pulleys

Using basic constraints and relationships in CAD can help solve “complex” problems. While while won’t be anything new to seasoned CAD veterans, I find it helpful to use constraints like this when experimenting with how to build a model or assemblies!

Here we’re building a bracket to hold timing belts and motors for an upcoming Arduino video! We needed an exact dimension and I wanted to work in the “OD” versus the “on center” dimension in Solidworks!
