In response to the most common question I get asked “Should I use gravel or sand in my tank?”
Basically I always advise using sand in a tropical aquarium and never use the bright coloured gravel unless for goldfish (and it looks shocking in a tropical tank).
Sand allows for small corydoras, loaches and molluscs such as clams – All of which will help to keep the sand clean by turning it over and removing some of the organic waste which builds up in an aquarium.
No doubt some people will not agree with my advice but whatever, man – make your own video and tell us why.
This is just my view.
