BlueMax a 1982 BMW R80 Cafe Racer build.
The donor bike for this Cafe Racer is reputably the best and smoothest of the BMW airheads benefitting from a light weight flywheel, twin front disc brakes, improved telescopic forks and 5 speed gearbox. The originally bike had only 57k documented miles and was bought in good roadworthy condition specifically for the project.
From the outset it was the intention to retain the character and charm of the original bike applying a sympathetic conversion similar to that of a true Cafe Racer. Hours of research, labour and dedication to the build has been rewarded by a unique and notably head turning Cafe Racer, BLUEMAX.

The timing chain tensioner gets stuck and allows the chain to rattle around. If driven in this condition, it can cause additional damage. (Broken guide rails, plastic and metal bits in the oil pan) Don’t drive the car when it makes this noise!
