Removing front bearing of 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS 2WD 2.7L
The entire process to remove and install took about 2 hours total. I tried to cut this video down to 10 minutes for the removal portion. I posted this because I read that this job required special tools, you had to remove numerous parts including the knuckle off the car, and only a professional should attempt this because it is too complicated. None of that was true. There are just two tricky parts where you have to move a couple of bolts or nuts out of the way and/or rotate the steering wheel to get better access to bolts. It is otherwise pretty straightforward. I admit this video is poorly shot and edited, but it should be enough for someone with a little mechanical experience to figure out what to do. I hope it helps someone.
i cut an inch off to see if i could do it. The grade 5 is now 5″ long and still 1/4″ thick. I thought it was gonna get the better of me. it was harder than i thought. I really want to get the grade 8 and eventually the red. But 3 months of training and this is as far as i got.
